HGTV Showdown
Competitive drama and great design take center stage in this series of specials for HGTV.
It's season 3 and the battle for design supremacy is back to rock HGTV! HGTV Showdown is the design competition show that features HGTV's top talent pairing up to plan and execute a winning design in less than 6 hours for one lucky homeowner. Then the homeowners get $10,000 to recreate the design at home.
Hosted by award-winning designer Jamie Durie, Season 3 begins airingSundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, 9 p.m. CT June 28 and running through July 19.
Durie will guide viewers through the battle royale. We start by creating two replicas of the homeowner's design-challenged space -- from the outdated furniture to the ratty carpeting. Next, two top notch design teams, each comprised of one designer and a builder or landscaping expert, must race to create and execute a knockout design in less than 6 hours! When time runs out it's up to the homeowners to decide who will be the Shodown champion. So gear up and buckle in, it's time for a Showdown!

Lisa LaPorta (Designed To Sell) and Carmen De La Paz (Hammer Heads) team up once again to face off against Steve Watson (Don't Sweat It) and Taniya Nayak in a backyard battle to decide which design team’s got the design chops this upcoming Sunday, June 28 at 10/9c. Both teams will have just 5 hours to turn this sad backyard into a place where the homeowners, Megan and Kevin Annis, can entertain in style. If you were one of our designers with just 5 hours to turn this backyard around, which projects would you tackle? Landscaping? A hot tub? New furniture? A water feature? Maybe an outdoor kitchen?

Tonight is the Bonus Room Blitz! In this special celebrity edition of Showdown we've paired staging experts Sabrina Soto (Get It Sold) and Matthew Finlason (The Stagers) with singer Drew Lachey and skater Kristi Yamaguchi. How will these teams of celebs and stagers transform a bonus room stuck in the 70's into a fun, updated family room in only four hours? You'll have to see it to believe it.

It's a Battle of the Bachelor Pad as two teams of top HGTV experts tackle one lucky viewer's studio apartment. Returning champion David Bromstad (Color Splash) and carpenter Marcus Hunt (Hammer Heads) will face-off against designer John Gidding (Designed To Sell) and carpenter Jared Walker Dostie (Rate My Space) to see who can help create distinct areas in this space-challenged studio in just five hours.

It's nothing but Showdown vets in this Clash of the Kitchens episode. This time, former Showdown champions Vern Yip (Deserving Design) and Angelo Surmelis (Rate My Space) face-off against each other, and with the help of carpenters Anthony Gilardi (Myles of Style) and James Lunday (Rip And Renew), will make over a design-desperate kitchen in only six hours. Which team will be able to stand the heat? Tune in to find out. Special guest Guy Fieri.
